Cy-Track: Modern Tracking and Prediction Website with Team Management

Abstract

Cy-Track is a new open source tracking and prediction software that allows for features that streamline high altitude ballooning before, during, and after the flight. While this system allows users to run single predictions and tracking the real benefit of the system is in its team management functionality. This functionality includes checklists, command and control, flight path overlays from different predictions, and custom input for tracking. All of the data is stored in a PostgreSQL database for export at a later date. This paper overviews these feature sets along with others along with how Iowa State University plans on using the system in our launch procedures.
