Division-Wide Approaches for DEI Professional Development

Abstract
Join us as we share the Iowa State University Division of Student Affairs Diversity and Inclusion Committee’s approach toward professional development for our staff. After describing our professional development model, we will discuss key programmatic initiatives such as division-wide completion of the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI), engagement in departmental and individual IDI debriefs, offerings for topical workshops, and more. We will allow participants to ask questions about our programming and invite the audience to share the professional development opportunities they currently engage in and ways to build upon their professional development in the areas of diversity, equity, and inclusion at Iowa State.
