National Coalition Building Institute's Diversity Training

Abstract
The National Coalition Building Institute focuses diversity and prejudice reduction training around five important concepts. These concepts are: I) identifying the information and misinformation we learned about other groups; 2) identifying and expressing pride in the group(s) to which we belong; 3) learning how groups, other than our own, experience mistreatment; 4) learning the personal impact of specific incidents of discrimination; and 5) learning how to interrupt prejudicial jokes, remarks and slurs. Participants in this interactive diversity training session will experience the first two concepts of the N CBI's valuable module.
