Abstract

Light Your Flame, was created to showcase sustainability, handcrafted elements, and technology. Designed for the S/S 2022 season, inspiration was drawn from the '20s because the target customer was a woman from the baby boomer generation. She likes classic garments with a twist from the '20s and '30s. While creating the dress, I was inspired by the bold flapper girls from the 1920s who dared to be different and pushed the barriers to economic, political, and sexual freedom for women.

Keywords: Laser cut, sustainable fashion, Nostalgia, 1920s
