Abstract

Social Responsibility (SR) in Clothing and Textile Discipline

•In teaching apparel and textile product development, it is critical that our students understand the larger social responsibility context of how the knowledge they have learned can benefit the society. •Sustainable apparel design approaches include multiple usage, upcycling, minimum waste, and computer aided design that reduce time and materials or insure long term use.
