Abstract

Inspired by the traditional kitchen apron, this dress wraps and ties onto the body. The backless feature of the apron has been incorporated into a sophisticated design detail. The boned bodice is fully pleated with each individual pleat tacked in place by hand. The sides of the skirt are gathered at the side seams to allow the layers of lavender tulle to peek out. The dress is made of a 100% polyester shantung (in minted ivory) and the bodice is lined with 100% cotton broadcloth. Matching lavender ribbon is used to fasten the dress in place.
