Delicacy

Abstract
This two-piece evening dress was inspired by antique laces. The design category is couture evening wear for a wide range of ages. The underdress was developed using flat pattern methods and fabricated in a pinstriped bronze metallic and black rayon, wool and lurex weave. The overdress was draped using the wide border of the re-embroidered tulle as a limitation. The border was carefully placed and cut where necessary for the most appealing use of the motif against the body. Tiny black jet buttons were used for functional and aesthetic purposes along the entire length of center front. Elastic bridal loop tape was used as an edge finish along the front and neckline.
