Spring Faerie
- Susan Gurler (University of Minnesota)
Abstract
Spring Faerie is from a line called "A Faerie Wedding." It is made of mint green silk charmeuse with an olive green silk chiffon overlay. The dress has a pleated, surplice empire waist bodice and an asymmetrical, bias cut skirt. The bodice is embellished with handmade ribbon flowers. Each of the flowers and leaves on these dresses was made from various types, sizes, and colors of ribbons. Each was stitched by hand in various manners to create unique and distinct floral shapes.
