Ruby Vision
- Molly Taylor-Burgher (University of Nebraska)
Abstract
This ruby-colored ball gown, although inspired by the 1950s, has a place in the contemporary market. The gown has a sculptural quality achieved by the draping technique and from studying pictures of period gowns by Christian Dior. A surplice bodice was draped over a basic strapless shell that is connected to a voluminous skirt accented with a shawl.
