European Textures
- Sarah Winge (University of Minnesota)
Abstract
The purpose of this design was to create an ensemble that emphasized the idea of comfort and texture. The goal was for the garment and the accessory to work together as one. The inspiration for how the bag was to be placed on the body came from my travels through Europe last spring. A loose-fitting empire style top made of cotton cheesecloth completes a loosely woven, blue linen A-line skirt that hangs loosely on the hips.
