Abstract

Improving soft skills is crucial for success in the global apparel market, especially in Bangladesh, where careers are attractive but competition is high. This research focuses on Bangladeshi textile and apparel graduates who are working in various sectors of this industry. Based on the sample size of 122 graduates, the study followed an exploratory, descriptive survey research design within multiple employment positions and levels of professional expertise. The result indicates that collaboration skill is the only one that is significantly associated with job roles, while no significant association was found to be associated with any other skills. The results highlight the importance of introducing training programs and adjusting the curriculum within tertiary education systems to enhance the soft skills of graduates.
