Abstract

As the fashion industry increasingly embraces blockchain technology, it is important for future business professionals to understand the benefits and challenges of its integration. In this regard, the study focused on developing a learning activity to facilitate students’ understanding of the blockchain's role in the sustainable apparel supply chain. Leveraging theoretical foundations in inquiry-based learning (IBL) and collaborative learning (CL), the activity consisted of four phases: team-based research, cross-team collaboration, report synthesis, and debriefing. Pre and post activity reflections were analyzed, revealing increased student knowledge of blockchain's role and their intention to use blockchain in their future careers.

Keywords: blockchain, sustainable supply chain, pedagogy, collaborative learning, inquiry-based learning
