Abstract

Start-up program in Mokpo National University has been collaborating with the support of Mokpo City's Zero Waste Project, focusing on recycling marine resources and developing upcycled marine cultural products. The project purpose is the development of ocean image cultural products by recycling the remaining and waste resources. Accessories have developed by using bones left after eating cuttlefish. Cuttlefish bone was recycled through wash, cut, dye and coating. Scarf-Necklace is designed a scarf-style necklace by connecting the leftover fabric pieces with dyed small cuttlefish bone. Local 'Zero Waste' project and industry-academiccooperation in university research have become examples of successful cases. It is expected to revitalize the local economy as local governments can produce and sell them as local promotional cultural products.
