Abstract

Academic achievement is pivotal for a student's educational journey, shaping future career prospects, confidence, and self-esteem. In the realm of fashion education, success involves a blend of technical skills, creativity, and industry knowledge, extending beyond grades to encompass networking, effective communication, and industry readiness. Overcoming challenges in time management and study habits is crucial in the demanding field of fashion. Empirical research emphasizes the importance of students setting clear goals and maintaining their motivation. While conventional metrics like standardized test scores and post-graduation achievements are used to assess success, there's a call for educators to understand student perspectives for more tailored support. The evolving societal landscape and knowledge-based economy require a reevaluation of educational adequacy for success in the 21st century. Recognizing the diverse experiences of today's college students is crucial for aligning educational practices with their perceptions of success. This research aims to explore the definition of student success in college from the perspective of Gen Z college students.
