Abstract

Visual images can be instrumental to communicate what an individual wants to express that words cannot. Guided by Arnheim's (1969, 1974) visual thinking, the design project was created to communicate experiences that individuals struggled to articulate. This design process leads to a new awareness of how visual images can speak and help individuals to communicate without a language.
