Abstract
Third and fourth generation cephalosporins are considered critical important antibiotics for treating serious infections in humans and the presence of extended-spectrum cephalosporinase (ESC)-producing bacteria in the food animal production is therefore a serious concern internationally (EFSA, 2011).
