Abstract

This investigation was initiated to study the Pleistocene Mollusca in the Box Marsh deposit, Admaston Township, Renfrew County, Ontario, Canda. The objective was to determine the paleoenvironment through a quantitative study of the molluscan fauna and a critical examination of the marl obtained from a systematically collected stratigraphic section. The paleoecological interpretations presented are based on variations observed in the abundance and vertical distribution of the most abundant species in the collections.
